Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) is a professional designation which highlights business management skills as well as a key understanding of today's home building industry as it relates to a building professional.

To receive this exclusive designation, the graduate must meet a specified level of building practice, have a minimum of two-years experience in the building industry, have a track record of successful project management, complete the required education curriculum, and pledge to follow the code of ethics set forth by the program.

Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR).  is an exclusive professional designation designed to emphasize business management skills as the key to a professional remodeling operation.

Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist.  Houses For Living.  Homes For Life.  In plain English, aging-in-place means remaining in one's home safely, independently and comfortably, regardless of age or ability level.  It means the pleasure of living in a familiar environment throughout one’s maturing years, and the ability to enjoy the daily rituals and the special events that enrich our lives.  It means the reassurance of being able to call a house a “home” for a lifetime.  –NAHB

Certified Green Professional™.  The National Association of Home Builders’ Certified Green Professional™ designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes—without driving up the cost of construction.  Classwork leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, as well as the tools to reach consumers, from the organization leading the charge to provide market–driven green building solutions to the home building industry. Jay Tovey was one of the first builders in the country to receive designation as a Certified Green Professional. Certified Green Professional

Rochester Home Builders' Association Inc. is a trade organization uniting all segments of the residential building industry in the five county area.  RHBA has continued to strive toward improving the quality and professionalism of the local residential construction industry.

National Association of Home Builders is a trade association that helps promote the policies that make housing a national priority.  Since 1942, NAHB has been serving its members, the housing industry, and the public at large.

Tovey Co. is a Lead-Safe Certified firm. To be lead-safe renovation firms must be certified under EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule. Individuals must be trained in lead-safe work practices. Training providers must be accredited by EPA.

ENERGY STAR qualified products and practices help you save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. EPA and U.S. DOE.  The ENERGY STAR label also designates superior energy performance in homes and buildings.
